Try pushing the button twice quickly. I just did it and it worked great for me on my Vera Lites.
Remember to exclude first then include.

still having no luck with this. I read a lot about upgrading the firmware… but haven’t figure out how to do that.

They can be added but it’s a nightmare. You might want to do things like make dolls of them and stab them with pins.
A few years ago there were one or two threads going about these. I bought some to try them out as they were “dirt cheap”. I, just as everyone else, had a difficult time including them. I can’t quite recall, but there was some process, which was outlined in the documentation, of pressing the button repeatedly to get them ripe for pairing. I think it was 4 x and you got a new blink pattern. At any rate, I ended up including mine… with the recycling. They are in my HA junkyard. If anyone wants them, they’re yours, free + shipping.
I’m giving this one more serious go, especially if I can get yours for free! ;D Although after last night… “free” isn’t necessarily true based on the time/opportunity cost I’ve already spent on them!!!
Here’s where I am if anyone out there has any additional info. I’ve excluded/included at the ,Vera Lite location, several times. It seems to be paired ok (see screen shot)… recognizes that it’s an Intermatic, etc. Yet it doesn’t seem to work - the little running man stays red the entire time.
I noticed it has no “neighbor nodes” either. I have it set to pulse, but have also tried the 5 minute setting.
I’ve placed it where it will ultimately go, and tried reconfiguring. Dashboard says ‘getting the name’ for a long time… and then “waiting for wakeup to configure device”. When I do this, it loses the few parameters it had (like manufacturer/capabilities)
I’ve confirmed it’s on (meaning the red light on the sensor is NOT blinking).
EDIT: Walking in the room (or just time elapsed) and it did seem to configure… but again, no neighbor nodes and it doesn’t seem to actually detect motion.
A stress test has 0 pings.
Any thoughts before I go the “doll” route that S-F suggests? 
Is there another setting in the device options tab I should be turning on?

LAST ATTEMPT …no, really.
This now has neighbor nodes, so it should be good to go. But it still seems to be stuck on the red guy… and not actually do anything. Any last ideas, or ways to test?

Just got one of these. Why does it say "Waiting for wakeup to configure"? The thing is sitting there like a bump on a log. It's not blinking so I know it's on. I have it set to pulse mode. I have also tried all of the other modes.EDIT:
Forget it. Selecting “poll now” or “configure node right now” ( I forget which) fixed the issue. It had been doing nothing for several hours before that.

Yeah I have 2 of these and pairing both of them was difficult. I was thinking about sending both of them back as duds. If you keep tinkering with it you will eventually gte it all sorted out.Both of mine have been working quite well since I go them paired BTW. No weirdness at all.

For the record I have two of these and I never have any problems with them. Aside from the hassle of actually getting them to pair initially that is. They are both on the same 1100 Sq. Ft. floor as Vera though.

Me? I went with wires. I always try to go with wires whenever possible. On of the first things I did when I got my house was run 1,000’ or so of CAT 6. all of my speakers are wired too. Z-Wave seems to be the top dog ATM for controlling lights though. I have heard great things about UPB but still that looks like it has it’s problems. I think if you have to use Z-Wave motion detectors, for whatever reasons, it’s best to power them with wires instead of batteries. That being said, there seem to be many people on here using wireless sensors quite happily. Go figure. But for the reliability and cost per sensor (I’m poor as well as thrifty) I, personally, see no reason to use wireless devices.

I run CAT5 in my house but surprisingly they don’t work. The cheap wire tester says the wire is fine but my camera or laptop doesn’t detect the network, when I connect them to the cable!
Do you know what could be wrong?
