I’m a facilities manager using a Vera Lite to control the exterior lights on our company’s property, along with a few indoor systems. It’s a large property (~30K square feet), so I have 8 repeaters installed in strategic locations to help cover gaps. For the most part, everything works pretty well, but every so often, maybe once or twice per month, I’ll arrive in the morning and the exterior lights are still on; or I’ll get a call in the evening that the lights weren’t on when they were supposed to be.
Firstly, I would love to find out what’s causing the failures. I’ve enabled logging, but when I check the device logs for a switch that didn’t fire when it was supposed to, the logs are usually empty. I do get logs for when a device disconnects, so I know that part is at least partially working.
Secondly, I would like to receive a notification if a scene doesn’t trigger for some reason. I’ve enabled notifications via email and text, but I never receive any. Any thoughts on how best to set that up?
