It looks like the Foscam API ([tt]Soluciones Foscam) doesn’t support starting a recording.
If you are going to use your NAS for recording first check if the nas support triggering.
Other option is just record 24h with your NAS and check the motion moments afterwards…
I have two cam’s recording 24h to my QNAP NAS box.
Reorder data is about 150GB for 10 days.
