I have several Leviton Vizia RF+ dimmers in my house, and I don’t like the default behavior. Specifically, if I have the light dimmed very low (say, 10% or 25%), and I press the switch, I want the light to turn on to 100% brightness. However, the current behavior of the switch is that it turns the light off, so I have to press the switch a second time to turn it back on. But when it turns back on, it doesn’t go to 100% brightness; instead, it returns to the previous dim level, and I have to manually hold down the brighten button for a few seconds to get the light where I actually want it. This has become quite frustrating, and is hurting the WAF of these switches.
What I want is for anything below 50% to be considered “off” (so pressing the switch turns it on to full brightness), and anything over 50% should be considered “on” (so pressing the switch turns it off). This seems like it would be an easy thing to change, but how? AFAIK, this logic is controlled by the light switch itself, not the Vera, so I can’t just create a scene to make it work the way I want it. Is there any way to reprogram the light switch itself? Or is there another way that I haven’t thought of?
