Hi,
I was trying to add a new IR device to my setup. Unfortunately apart from my AMP no device that I own, Satellitebox, DVD-Player, Media Player etc are part of the library. Some of the Manufacturers not even are listed: Topfield, Netgear.
I have all IR codes in CCF format, but how do I add new devices?
Please advise
Thanks

Good luck, there was a wiki post on editing an existing one with pronto codes but it never worked for me! I give up with IR on this thing; its another long awaited feature never delivered.
You can edit an existing xml.file corresponding to the type of device you are trying to control. Just replace the IR codes and you are good to go. Then you can assign the commands using the SQ app. I have this working for a Coship satellite receiver that’s not in the list of devices. The IR device is USB UIRT.
Like i said, it never worked for me and after just updating vera, SQ doesn’t even load all any more and just quits
So what you are saying, you used the “add remote” button on vera, added a random remote and renamed it and changed the CCF code in the I_xx.xml file?
How did you rename buttons or functions to reflect the new remote?
I saw that every button gets assigned another single xml_file, how did you cope with that?
Really, I wonder how vera would react if you enter 8-9 remotes. Who in gods name developed this crazy concept of 1 .xml file per button? I suppose you have to be a lua fan to come up with something like that.
Thanks
