This happen to me too… While adding new device I pressed the other little black button instead of z-wave one, and Vera happily died.
Interesting that when I power it, all the right lights are green right away - but it doesn’t do anything, including getting any IP.
The power LED looks orange though
I tried to connect directly to my PC to Vera’s eth2, but its computer said nothing is connected to its port.
So… is there any brute force way to reanimate the poor thing?
C’mon guys - with Vera1 I could simply tftp and re-flash firmware and consider it done.
What are the options for Vera2 to factory-reset it without access to web GUI?
Yes I did. I think something got broken with boot flow, so I’m not even sure it loads network drivers properly.
I’m totally puzzled how attempt to include a device could kill Vera…
I know what I am describing is not the same thing, but on more than one occasion I put some lua code in place and my vera choked. As a ‘side effect’ its network config went back to the factory settings. (Was set up with static address). I never understood that one either.
Have you tried something like wireshark on the line to see if its at least sending out arp packets , or broadcasting anything on powerup? Just a thought.
