How do I add multiple Smart Virtual Thermostat devices ?

I am a new Vera user and still learning the device and methodologies used.

I am trying to control my panel heaters with the Smart Virtual Thermostat and as I have multiple rooms I would also need multiple devices. I hace scoured the forum for information about how to add additional devices but have not found the information yet.

Anyone here that wants to share how this is done ?

Just go to your smart termostat plugin in your installed plugins list and hit create a new device.

I just tried it, and I see that the option for creating another one is now gone from the SmartThermostat.
Looked at other installed plugins, they have the option.

Not sure how to do it when this has been deleted.

Yes, exactly my findings as well. There is no option to add more VT’s :frowning:

Very sad, as this is an excellent plug-in. Not sure what I could use instead.

I found the solution, just do as the picture shows.
Do this for as many as you want.

Sorry. no success. I tried as mentioned above and I just get an error: GET_LANG(system_error,System error) : Device: 121. Fail to load implementation file D_SmartVT1.json

Does it work for you ? Do you have any other ideas ?

It worked for me. I installed the First thru app store, created 5 more afterwards.

I had the same problem. I solved it by reinstalling plugin and created 9 vt right afrer plugin installation.

Unfortunately vera lite began to freeze (had to reboot it to recover) and i left only 3 vt

Btw, does anyone use virtual outdoor sensor with the plugin? Which one?

:smiley: Try doing a reboot after Creating the Device. That worked for me. Good luck

I am using this technique to add additional Virtual Rain Sensors and it works fine. The trick is 1. reboot afterwards and 2. be patient because it seems to take a bit of time to load the new device and for it to appear.
