How can I clear this message?

Hello

I tried to configure a device that is not directly configurable it seems.
It is a child device of a 3-in-sensor.

I get the red line that can be seen in the attachement.

I have tried rebooting Vera, but it doesn’t clear the read line.

Is there a way I can get rid of it?

Thanks

I’d like to know this as well. I have a few devices that has this line, since I did the migrate to Vera 3. (One fibaro 2xswitch, and one EZ Motion detector. Devices seams to work none the less, I’m igoring this message currently… )

possible things to try:

  1. try to re-configure the parent device
  2. try to do a manual “heal”

so you’re only seeing this for the temp child device, not the others or the parent? Did you click Configure node right now, or did you attempt to set some configuration parameters, to get into this state?

Sometimes it is quicker to remove (parent) and the re-add.

Yes, only for the temp child device. Not the parent. The device report it’s temp. OK. I did a configure node right now, and after that it has been stuck red.

I will try what has been suggested.

  • Config of parent.
  • Manual ‘heal’ not sure where to find that though…

thanks for the tips. I tried but to no avail…

  1. Reconfig of the parent did not help

  2. Note sure where to find ‘heal’

I have had this also. In my case the child device is one of the switches in a pool controller. The red bar in UI5 has disappeared but it still shows up as unconfigured in the heal report and in iVera.

Heal or Repair functionality is found under Setup>Z-Wave Settings>Repair

I tried to ‘configure now’ both the parent and the childs on the Fibaro dual switch, now I have more red ‘Device failed to configure’.

This device is in a rental apartment of my house, so I don’t want to mess with it (removing and re-adding) since it is working regardless of the red warning lines.

Edit: I have healed many times, but it makes no difference.

I see. I guess Vera shouldn’t allow this / handle it better, as she now seems to want to configure the child device forever.

As a workaround, see if under the [tt]Advanced[/tt] tab of the child device you now have a long list of variables. If you see a variable called Configured, probably with value -3, try setting it to 0 (i.e. zero) and then hit the save button. See screenshot.
