I managed to get all my Cisco and Loftek cameras to appear in Vera. I don’t have much PTZ control but the images are fine. 8)
The Belkin netcam is, I believe, a lost cause since a recent firmware update. They’ve literally taken themselves out of the picture. If anyone knows any work-arounds I’d appreciate it. Its too bad they closed up the stream- its a nice, un-attainable 720p image.
But the hootoo’s are another animal. They actually make a very powerful, inexpensive IP PTZ dome camera with 5X zoom. But they suggest a very odd address to reach the video stream for my HT-IP0008HDP:
rtsp://IPADDRESS:554//11
which is problematic as I doubt rtsp is supported by any home automation or almost anything else except perhaps android. I think the problem is they only support VLC.
Has anyone had any success with these cameras? I’m working with their tech support to try to solve this, but if anyone has any ideas that would be great!
