Anyone in the forum has tried this Honeywell zwave bridge to control VISTA alarm panels? I have been looking for a way to integrate my alarm panel to VERA, and I just saw this, apparently new, 5800ZBRIDGE from Honeywell.
Manual is posted on the following link: http://library.ademconet.com/MWT/fs2/5/6187.pdf
Not too much information on the manual itself, but apparently you could enroll this device to the Zwave network in order to use it Vera. If anyone has any experience with this module, please share it with the forum.
Any new information on this? Looking at getting this.
Decided on a different product: Honeywell Tuxedo (6280i). It will not bring my alarm devices into the Zwave network (nor would have the Zwave bridge), but I can potentially use this console as a secondary controller for my Zwave network, and adds the possibility for controlling my alarm panel via a web interface (much more reliable than Vera, I want my alarm to work properly and report the proper status at all times).
There is a post about the Tuxedo console here: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9298.0.html
Has anyone tried this bridge yet, has it worked with Vera? I would really like to get my security system linked in. Only option Honeywell supports is to use their system with a monthly fee.
No one has tried this? I’d hate to drop $45 on it to find out it only works to set back the TSTAT and lock doors:
