I just got an email for the IFTTT channel for “HomeBoy.” (https://ifttt.com/homeboy) (https://www.homeboy.com/)

I’m not particularly interested in “Homeboy” per se but what did catch my eye is the video camera which appears to be the core of the product. They CLAIM that they are battery operated and that theyonly need charging “once-a-quarter” or so. I found THAT to be a very interesting claim given the apparently small size of the unit that has to be one H*ll of a battery inside

I’m pretty sure that the camera is running only when the motion sensor is tripped, but even if it only takes stills when tripped, the battery life claim does sound rather incredible.

It must be the magnets!
