Are we going to be “old news” in the field?

I don’t think they have any official collaboration with SqueezeBox. The slim server is open source and I understand it’s possible to add 3rd party menus and such to it. It’s been something we’ve discussed doing for a while. If it starts to take off and people want squeeze box + automation, we can move up our priority list.

Squeezebox is quite visible in high quality audio streaming field, and even just a declaration of integrated solution can draw a lot of attention. Kewl factor, you know…

Interesting integration with Innovus and Squeezebox Duet.

Feature wise this is not really impressive – they just added z-wave menus to Squeezebox Duet remote – it’s already possible from iphone and such – nothing new.

What would be really interesting is to make Vera to be able to issue commands to SlimServer, so as part of event, timer, or scene activation it would be able to start a particular play list on a specific Squeezebox device, or stop playback, etc.
