High quality remote controllable deadbolt locks?

OK I got it to connect and it seems to be working.
I like that Schlage is a higher quality physical lock than the Yale.
I just got the RMA for the defective Yale and boxed up the old one to send back. They took way too long to ship the replacement. They promised 3-5 business days, but it took a few weeks. Luckily, I had another door to use in the meantime.
Not sure what I’m going to do with the replacement Yale. I may add it to a different door.
The Yale looked more modern and has a nicer touch screen like a smartphone and they lock motor makes less noise than the Schlage motor. I also like that it had the exterior battery port so you can use 9volt battery from outside to unlock the door if the internal batteries die.
With the Schlage, the touch screen isn’t very nice and if the batteries die, you need to have the key to get in. It’s easy enough to go to the store and get a 9V battery if you don’t have one handy for the Yale, but if you don’t have the key with the Schlage, a simple dead battery will lock you out.
However, since the Yale touchpad completely FAILED and the problem wasn’t a battery issue, a 9V battery wouldn’t have helped my situation.
Would have preferred the Yale if it has a grade 1 and their quality control was better.
Hopefully, this Schlage will hold up over time better than the Yale did.
I think i had “less” trouble getting the Schlage connected to the Veralite than I had getting the Yale paired last year, but it could just be because the newer firmware on the Veralite is better than firmware from a year ago.

I think I’ll order a door sensor to do it the way you described after I have had the lock for a few weeks and I’m sure I want to keep it.
In the meantime, without installing a door sensor, is there a way to use Veralite to lock the door 5 minutes after it’s unlocked instead of using the 30 second autolock built into the Schlage?
The door will probably be closed within 30 seconds of unlocking about 75% of the time and shut within 5 minutes 95% of the time. 5 minutes should be enough time to make a few trips back and forth to the garage to unload groceries and then shut the door before it autolocks.
That should be good enough until I can get a door sensor that can be smarter about only autolocking when the door is actually closed.

I have posted here about my experience with the Schlage LE162
http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,32179.msg233829.html#msg233829

The first one i had was not easy to pair but it did eventually, the new one (replacement) will not pair (tried may 20 times including factory reseting) and the mechanical override only works once then jams the lock so that both thpin pad and the key do not work.

So i would advise away from buying the LE162
