Help with Pool Door Alarms

I was able to stumble my way through (thanks to the forums) getting my door sensors to trigger my thermostats to shut off if a door is left open. But it took me a while.

I want to create a pool door alarm sequence like the pool door alarms that you can buy (GRI brand). Here is an outline:

-Door sensors
*When a door is opened…
-Delay
*wait 7 seconds
-Push button device
*If the button is pressed, do not sound the siren for 7 seconds
*If the button is not pressed, sound immediately
-Sound the siren

**If the door is opened and closed without pressing the button, the siren sounds
**If the button is pressed BEFORE or AFTER the door is opened (within 7 seconds), the siren does not sound for 7 seconds after the door is opened

I am willing to pay for someone to program this for me and I can give you user access while it’s being programmed.

Anyone? Is what I’m wanting to do even possible?

Do you have PLEG setup and have your input devices setup in PLEG? I think you haven’t got a response since your asking for everything. It’s one thing to ask a single or directed question but your question is so broad and I don’t have an understanding with what your PLEG skills even are yet.

EDIT: If you post your PLEG “Status” report in PDF form it will greatly help us see what you have and be able to give you feedback or a condition that will work for you. This is assuming you have PLEG installed and semi setup.

Yes I have PLEG installed on one of my hubs/properties, but like I said it took a while to get it programmed. Before I purchased all of the door/window sensors, fob/buttons and siren I was hoping to find out if anyone thought it could be done. I realize it’s not a targeted question I have.

This seems fairly complicated (to me) when you consider the different elements:

-The siren doesn’t sound if the button is pressed 7 seconds before opening the door
-The siren sounds 7 seconds after the door is open unless the button is pressed
-The siren still needs to sound 7 seconds after the button is pressed if the door remains open.
-The siren sounds even if the door is opened and shut immediately without the button being pressed.

Let me know if you have any thoughts about this being programmed.

Post your PLEG status report in PDF and we can help you write a condition.
