Hi,
i’m now the owner of the xbmcstate plugin. I just change some code to add trigger in the json file and upload it. It seams not to work. Do i need to commit the file before it will be release? How much time it will take.
Thank in advance

During development you’re much better off to just upload modified files directly through the UI5 rather than trying to load them to apps and have it installed through the app manager. It’s MUCH faster and easier. To do this, just go to Apps, Develop Apps, Luup Files…
If you really must use app store, then yes, I think you need to commit the files, and I think you need to generate a new version before you can test it (from my limited experience - I do all development directly as above and then just load release candidates to the app store).

I do it exactly as chris say’s:
During development I manually upload the files to the vera by going to “Apps=>Develop Apps=>Luup Files”. Only when I have a version ready then I use apps.mios.com to publish it.
There is also a basic guide available here: http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Apps.mios_Developer’s_Guide
Did you manage to transmit a new version for approval on apps.mios.com?
I think so thanks, that what i do when trying to devlop, upload it directly trough the vera. I upload the new json file and make a new version. I’m in waiting to approval. Hope that it does not take some time. When it will be approve, did i need to publish it manually or it will be automatic?
Thanks Mic
Once MCV approve the release, it will immediately be available - you don’t need to do anything else to make it available… It seems to generally take a few days for them to approve at the moment
Chris
Thanks
Micasaverde aprove it, however, if i go in the app (in the ui) it does not show the plugin even if i do a search. On the oder hand, when i check in the market place (app.mios.com), It does show in the new tab. Is it normal?
Thanks and sorry for the newbie question

If I understand what you mean, then this indicates that the plugin is not installed, or more likely in your case that it wasn’t installed through apps.mios.com. If you manually install an app (manually load the files, type in the device type etc) then I don’t think the plugin shows in the apps section of the UI. I suspect this is probably what you’ve done?
You may need to delete the device you installed manually and install it through the apps store… Unless someone else knows of another way to sync the two?
When I create a new app, I always do it via apps.mios.com. Once the app is created and installed, I then load the files manually, but doing it this way ensures that it’s in the apps interface…
