Help on motorize curtain

Hi all,

I have just bought a Aeon Lab motor controller, and now looking for motorize curtain.
However i come across the problem that what type of motor i should get and How do they connect to the controller.

Does the aeon lab motor controller connect to a DC motor or AC motor?

Aside, can anyone explain more detail on the connection on the controller. There are the 3.3v power supply output, externsl dwitch for motor 1 and 2 and a common wire formallswitches. I am confuse with what all this to do?

Thanks

Rgd,
Ben

If your instructions say something about ine voltage (120VAC in the US) then you have an AC motor controller and basically it will take line voltage in (3 wire - line, neutral, ground) and output to a standard AC tubular shade motor which has a 4 wire cable coming off of it (black, red, white, green in the US, so two directional hot wires for up and down, a neutral, and a ground.

When looking for an AC motor, you want it to be a tubular motor used for awnings and roller shades, it is typically called a “standard” 4-wire motor and it has to have internal limits.
