I have a Vera 2 running UI4. I also have a HA07C as a secondary (working perfect). I just bought an HA09 Intermatic remote to add to the exisiting setup, but I can’t get it to “pair” or “add” to the network. i’ve read the instructions form Intermatic about a dozen times and don’t know what I’m missing.
Here is what I’m doing;
Put the remote and the vera 2 unit RIGHT next to each other.
In Vera (UI4) “add Zwave device”
Add an additional controller. (it then sends the include command the z wave light starts blinking)
On the HA09 remote I press “Include” for 5 seconds and the green LED blinks then the red LED blinks.
Press “2” OFF (I just want to copy the network, not the scenes - at this point though I’ll do whatever)
The HA09 blinks fast, like it’s adding itself to the network.
Then Vera says “0 devices added” and it’s not showing up in Vera. Doh!!
You should perhaps try to reset it to defaults first. I only have mine set as a scene controller, but I seem to remember I had to completely reset it to get it to work initially.
I Have tried that too. The instructions don’t say how to reset it back to factory defaults - but I assume the button behind the battery panel will do that?
Ah, just realized I got the HA07 and HA09 mixed around…Despite owning both, I’ve never paired the HA09 so I’ll try it tomorrow and let you know how it works for me!
In the mean time you might try to see if the info is in the manual of the WD version of the remote:
Ive had trouble getting my MiniMote and other remotes like the Intermatic HA07 to pair as a secondary controller. Im using the latest UI4 beta and have tried to reset them and still will not pair and update the info as a secondary controller. Im using the same methods as described, and this has worked in the past. Is something broken here?
“Failed to Go Into Learn Mode” in the Status area?
Using the latest beta and I cant get Vera to add a secondary controller or copy the info to an existing secondary controller. I have a ton of handheld’s from GE/Jasco, MiniMote from Aeon, HA07 from intermatic and others.
When I click ADD ONE (battery powered remote) I get:
I also have both of these controllers and have had no problems over the last year. Your instruction are not what I used to add/update my controllers.
Select the Add/Remove Devices
Z-Wave
Battery Operated Hand helds (scroll down to the bottom)
Select INCLUDE, One, Any, Low power for Vera2- full power for Vera1
Press the button sequence you mentioned on the controller and then press the GO button.
If you make changes to the scene buttons repeat these steps.
Funny thing. Is after you posted I realized that it is possible, since you were the first one. I eventually figured out how to do a reset on the remote (I thought I was doing it by holding the button on the back behind the battery cover - when you actually have to press “delete” then while the LED is still blinking press the button behind the cover). Once the remote was setup, it worked like a charm!
Many thanks for this thread. I just bought a Vera 2 to replace my old Hawking HRGZ1. The directions for transfering my HA09 remote to the Vera worked perfectly. I never would have figure that out on my own.
