Healed Network & Lost My GE Remote

I did a network heal because my logs were filled with no route errors. When it completed the network was working well, except for my GE 45600 remote which will no longer communicate with Vera. When I press a scene button on the remote I get a flashing red led (I would assume indicating failed). The device is still listed on my control panel. What is the best way to get it working again? Do I simply re-include it and, if I do, will it keep the same node/device ID and scenes that are associated with each button?

Not one person healed a network with a battery powered controller?

Have healed the network manually, I do remember reading somewhere, batteryy powered devices which do not send some sort of heartbeat during the heal may cause an error of somesort or if the battery is dead.
I do remember re-associating it, with a fresh battery/charge.

In my experience, “Heal” = “Spend the next 2 days trying to get my door locks, remotes and sensors to work again”. Get everything working again, make a back up and every time Vera poops the bed, restore from back up. I have to at least twice a year.

Just reassure you (or worry you depending which way your glass is filled) …

I have a Horstmann HRT4-ZW (z-wave battery operated) room thermostat and every Heal I do, it loses connection to it mains connected group partner the AZR-ZW.

So while I can’t comment on the device you have, I do notice a strange thing occur with my battery powered thermostat .

I am very concerned and disappointed with the healing process of our units Vera. I did this process to try to improve the quality of transmission and check my signal strength at home. now I have a sensor window that is saying:
waiting for wakeup to configure device.

when, after all, will wake the device for? how can I do this?

Another GE dimmer stopped obeying commands from my Vera but still igniting and extinguishing the lamp usually when triggered locally.

I would like to know the real necessity and function of the healing process and when NOT to use it more to not spoil things in vera.
