heal report does not look right

I have a little bit of a communication problem with a couple my thermostats, so I thought i’ll have a look at my heal report. My Vera 3 does a nightly heal (must be a standard setting as I never set this anywhere)
Looking at this report, it looks as if all my devices have 0 stars for communication (there are a lot more on this report, they all have 0 stars)
On my Vera lite which I had before, that report looked very different with most of my devices having 5 stars. Also 4 of the devices on this report are only a meter away from my Vera !

Nothing wrong here, my heal report looks exactly the same. Welcome to another half-baked ‘feature’ in Vera ;D

All that counts is that your devices have at least one route with zero errors. Attached is a typical route for my devices.

None of my thermostats have that information in their advanced fields, not the AutoRoute nor the AllRoutesFailed. These fields just do not exist

And on my Vera lite in the heal report every device had somewhere between 3 and 5 stars. I thought this was supposed to show you how good the communication is

Hmmm… please confirm whether you are running UI5 or UI6.

I am still on UI5

you mentioned you moved from Vera Lite to Vera 3. Was that recent? Did you backup your zWave network before doing a full backup of your Lite?

It was probably about 2 months ago and i did back up my zwave before. My VERA died unexpected, so backup was a few days old, last zwave backup a couple of weeks older than the backup. After restoring to the new Vera most things worked fine

I was coming to the forum for the same issue - Heal report shows devices, but no stars. Now my thermostats DO have AutoRoute and AllRoutesFailed fields.

I think I started having problems when I added a Aeon labs door/window sensor for my garage door. That device does not have the AutoRoute or AllRoutesFailed fields. And it is the only battery powered device in my Z-wave network other than my door locks…

Just did some searching, and it seems the nightly heal doesn’t show the stars/strength, but a manual heal will show the report as expected…

Note that I do not think that battery devices normally DO NOT have those fields. None of mine do (My locks do, but no others).

Hopping on this thread because I have a question regarding even getting a heal report. If I go to Settings->Z-wave Settings->Repair and click the View repair report button I get a screen describing the process “You should start a ‘Heal’ process every time you have finished adding, removing or relocating any of your Z-Wave devices…”, etc. Then there are two buttons: “Heal without stress test” and “Heal with stress test”. So this morning I clicked “Heal with stress test” and then went to work (I have over 70 z-wave devices so heals take quite a while). When I got home and looked at the UI the heal appeared to be done (no messages up top). So I went back into Settings->Z-wave Settings->Repair->View repair report. But I just get the same screen describing when to do a heal and the same two buttons to heal with or without stress test. Where is the report? I tried re-loading the UI and the same screen comes up. So should I not trigger heals from that screen? What’s the proper process to trigger a heal in order to get a repair report?

I’m having frustrating issues with certain Z-wave devices not turning off/on as they should randomly via scenes so I thought this report would be able to help me pinpoint the cause (or at least eliminate some).

Much appreciate any suggestions on this.

I have a Vera3 with the latest UI5 by the way.

That’s the important bit. Also, what browser are you using. Mozilla Firefox seems to work best. IE can have issues, though I don;t remember if the Heal Report was one of them.
