Hawking door and window Sensor

I’ve had a terrible time trying to add and/or configure battery-powered devices. I have about 45 devices on my network. I’ve been working on the system for about a year. No kidding.

My latest problem is with a Hawking door/window Sensor – which I’m using on my steel front gate. I have removed the sensor from the gate several times. I have removed it from the network, and put it back in with the dongle at least seven or eight times… The gate module is located within 6 feet of the nearest outdoor device. There are numerous neighbors:

Neighbors 1,4,20,21,22,23,24,25,27,30,33,34,38,44,50,51,54,59,63,72,73,74,

Configured at N/A

I’ve tried to run repair several times, but I do not get a repair report.

Thank you for all your help in the pas

sorry I can’t help with those, but feelin ya brother, the battery stuff drives me crazy!

I use those on my garage doors, and its about 30 ft to another zwave node and they work flawlessly.

axan,

Would you mind looking at my settings that were with my posting and give me an idea of what I might have been doing wrong.

Your sensor is not configured properly - see the attached picture of a configured one. If nothing else works, try:

  1. replace the batteries, known good batteries
  2. take the sensor close to Vera, include it
  3. click “configure now” and press/release the trigger on the back of the sensor

Thanks. I was having the same issue and this worked for me.
