Have zwave detect outdoor light with pir.

Hello,

I have an outdoor light fixture with built in motion sensor, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DWAF26.

I know I could just use a zwave motion sensor and a zwave light switch to accomplish the same task. But having the light fixture is a more compact/cheaper solution. Is there a zwave sensor/device that detect if the light has been triggered? preferably wired.

See if the PIR on the light has dry contacts you can hook into with a fibaro binary sensor, or the binary input on the fibaro door contacts? would mean some hacking, and no doubt void whatever warranty you have on the light… and if installed incorrectly, maybe even burn your house down

Thanks for the suggestion.
No dry contacts on the pir sensor though. It has a trigger/runner wire that sends ac120v to another fixture if you want it to activate another light.

If there is room inside, you could mount a miniature relay and use contacts off that.
