I have a Harmony 895 remote that “supports” Z-wave. As you probably know Logitech messed up their Z-wave implementation and the Harmony’s have to be Primary controller and cannot be a secondary.
There is also a thread here on the Logitech forums, @Woodsby says its doable with Vera. Would love to hear from anyone with a Harmony 895 that has this working.
(I had this running quite a while back (with the Monster flavor), but have since moved on; in part due to the lousy quality of the Logitech/Monster hardware.)
No I hadn’t seen that thread will have a read through it. I still like using my Harmony remote over any tablet software remote so would be good to get it working with Z-wave, I only want to be able to control a few lights in my living room and kitchen with the Harmony and maybe the fireplace.
Although I do use the AutHomationHD Android app for controlling Vera but the Harmony is normally in my hand so quicker.
I have 6 Harmony 890 Pros, and am going to risk it soon. I really hate the Logitech software, and despite my sizable investment, will dump the 890 Pros in the not-too-distant future.
If I could just get two lights and two fans to work with the remotes (a fraction of my Z-Wave network), I would be very happy… These are obviously the fans and lights next to our TVs…
Going a little OT here, but what would you lot consider to be a good universal remote, as a replacement for Harmony? I hate their software too but their library of devices has worked well for me, and the remote passes the only significant test for universals: it has replaced all the other remotes that came with the equipment.
