HA14 & HA18 associations - How am I supposed to get support???

Hello All-

I’ve been a Vera user for a little over a month and I’ve been able to figure out most everything on my own through the wiki and this forum. However, I’ve been experiencing an issue since day one that has me puzzled. Vera, when set to manage associations automatically or manually, is unable to program associations into Intermatic HA14s and HA18s.

I’ve left numerous messages with Alex @ micasaverde requesting a tech call me, I’ve submitted support requests on the website, and I’ve submitted logs and a support request through Vera!

What am I doing wrong? Have I overlooked something very basic? Vera programs associations with other Intermatic devices (CA600), but it will not configure associations for Intermatic models HA14 and HA18.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply! I was afraid the HA14 & HA18 did not support associations too, but I have had success with another program. The demo of HomeSeer is able to set associations to these devices without issue. I tested this using a ThinkStick and it worked perfectly. I’ve also tried adapting these instructions which are directly from Intermatic…

Hello all-

Any thoughts on this ongoing issue? I’ll take any and all ideas at this point!!!

Thanks!

I have the same issue with an HA14 3-way switch. Any resolution to this problem.

The 2nd generation Homesettings switches (HA14C, HA18C and HA20C) support associations:

Model HA14C 600W In-Wall Dimmer, Model HA18C 15Amp In-Wall Switch, and Model HA20C 600W
In-Wall Toggle-Style Dimmer, have the capability to become “associated” with other Z-Wave®
enabled devices. This means that your HomeSettings Wall Switch will be able to control up to five
additional Z-Wave devices via wireless communication in addition to controlling the lights that the
Switch is wired to directly control.

Sound like Micasaverde needs to look at the code

Hi all,

We will look into this. Those of you with problems at any of the HA14C, HA18C or HA20C regarding the association, please send a trouble report with Verbose Logging checked (go to Advanced/Logs tab an check Verbose Logging checbox) so we can have the logs with this problem.
