I’m not using my HA07 to control my VERA Edge, I did pair it, but am choosing to control devices (ceiling fan, room light, etc) directly.
From post #9 in this thread:
OPTION 1: Control the modules directly with the remote by assigning each module to a specific channel -You do this by simultaneously pressing both the On and OFF buttons of the desired channel. When the display shows “LEARN” then press and hold the “Include” button and press the program button on the associated module. The display now shows successful and you should be able to control the module with the remote.
Downside to this method is the vera menu will only show the updated status of the modules after it polls that node after the default interval.
I’ve used this approach for three different HA07’s on the system - one for my MBR, living room, and office. Up until my upgrade to the VE from the Lite, a few of the devices don’t immediately turn on or off.
For example, if I try to turn on my window AC unit (by way of an Aeotech switch), the remote indicates “transmitting” for about 10-20 seconds. It then reads “Not Successful” but, the switch will actually turn on.
Things I’ve tried:
- I’ve unpaired, deleted the remote from VE, factory reset it, and then added it back
- I’ve unpaired and deleted the switched device from VE, then added it back
- I’ve done a factory reset of the remote
The problem remains. Specifically on the Aeon Labs DSC06106-ZWUS and the Leviton VRF-01 fan controller switch.
My system works, but the delay is a little frustrating. Controlling the devices via VERA or on the switch itself is instantaneous. Not knowing where the problem lies, I don’t know if I should contact the Intermatic (for the remote), VERA, or Aeotec.
