Version 7.0.6 Release notes says H.264 support is added. Anyone have any other info how to add H.264 camera in vera?
I noticed right away on my foscam fi9821w that when viewing live feed from a browser it updates every second instead of every 3 seconds like it used too. Huge improvement!

VERA doesn’t live stream it pastes together still shots gathered from the image URL you have given it. It also puts a terrible load on Vera especially if you have HD cameras and more then one.
Myself and others have removed the cameras from VERA (as there is not need for them to be there anyways) and made better arrangements to view the cameras along with VERA. Several VERA apps allow you to input the camera URL into the app and in the app it will pull the camera live stream and show it the Home automation app (I Use ImperiHome myself) as if it were in VERA. Using virtual motion sensors I also have camera motion detection in VERA to use in scenes and such (PLEG for me) without having the cameras in VERA. And of-course VERA doesn’t record and save all my videos so I already had other DVR means for viewing and saving the history of recordings.
