1. Are plugins free ?
Most are free. A few are paid. The most important plugin that you will want for Vera is teh Program Logic Event Generator(PLEG). It costs $5.00 http://apps.mios.com
2. Is it possible to control an HVAC (with IR only, no feedback)?
This will depend on the HVAC and it's control settup. Many portable and split system HVAC systems utilize IR controllers. Vera can control these with the appropriate IR transmitter(iTach, Remote ZXT-120). There are also several Z-Wave thermostats on the market.
3. Is it possible to control Garage Door with MyQ
Yes. There is a MyQ plugin for Vera.
4. Is it possible to control AV with IRtach ?
I don't know IRtach. You can do it with Global Cache iTach.
5. Is it possible to control Xcomfort lightning ?
I don't know xcomfort lighting. Maybe, if you're a programmer.
Is it any plugins for a GSM gateway. I want to call my garage door to open it. I have seen that there are some modems which can be connected with RS232 and can take AT commands. T.ex the TC35i.
There are currently no such plugins at this time. There have been people who have used the Asterisk PBX AGI scripts to telephony enable various actions. But, this is atypical and will require a deep understanding of Asterisk to make it call a URL on Vera.
There are many other better ways of activating the garage door remotely, however all of them would require an internet connection.
I am new to Vera. how do i install/get plugin for the My-Q chamberlain for my garage door?
thanks for any help
Hi verytoss, welcome to the Vera community.
There is a plugin that was authored by a user called MyQGateway. You can find it by going to Apps in the UI.
Please note that user created plugins are not supported by Vera, Customer Care can’t assist with 3rd party plugins.
