Is there a way to toggle the blue LED on the GE outlets like there is on the GE wall switches? I’ve got one for my bed side light and it’s not fun having a blue LED shining at me all night. :o
See manual. Parameter 3, 1 byte, 0 for LED ON when outlet OFF (default), 1 the other way around.
So just like the switches. Thanks.
Could you point me to the manual?
I got them here. Select ‘GE Z-Wave Wireless Lighting Control’ in the ‘Browse by Category’ box, hit ‘Browse’ and you get a nice list of all their stuff.
I found that parameter in the outlet manual but I still did not know how to change it. I finally figured this out and thought I would share it. To change this parameter edit the device by clicking on the wrench. Then select the Device Options tab. Then click on the Add Configuration Settings button. Change the variable to 3, the data length to 1 byte decimal, and the desired value to 1. Exit out of the device editing screen and don’t forget to save.
I know this is old, but I just went through this.
Variable 3, 1 byte dec, 1 reverses the operation of the LED. LED will be off when the outlet is off and on when it is on.
To do this on UI7, go to the device, select Device Options, press add configuration settings, it will populate variable as “1”. Change it to “3” and add the settings above. Press Apply Changes.
In about 10 seconds Luup will restart automatically. Wait for it to cycle and the LED should follow what you set. You may have to turn it on or off so that the outlet “talks” to Vera and gets the new configuration.
