GE NX8e CADDX Security Select Device as Window instead of Door

Futzle, when I scan the zones for the various doors windows etc that can be added, if I add a window let’s say, the choice is :
Motion, Door, Smoke and TempLeak

Whereas I am assuming the Door Device selction to also work For Windows, would it be something you may consider to actually create a selection for Window?

FYI I added my CO2 detector as the device Smoke which I think is ok too.

My Leak Detector is under the Temp/Leak Device

I’m just using the four sensor devices that MCV provides out of the box. They don’t provide a distinct Window Sensor device.

I was hoping that MCV would add these missing sensor types to their repertoire but they don’t seem to be in any hurry to.

As you’ve noticed, the choice is totally cosmetic. It just changes the icon that appears in the dashboard.
