I have installed 4 so far.
They are all working fine except for one of them which keeps turning itself on.
Is this a problem that has been seen before?
I’m not quite sure what could be the cause.
Figured I’d ask before I tried re-pairing it…
tks
UPDATE
As a test, I turned off my Vera and let things sit for a couple of minutes.
The light switch turned itself on after about 2 minutes.
So I guess the problem is with the switch after all…maybe a defective part?
I have two switches headed my way so I’ll try one of those…
Do you have any remotes or scene controllers in the network?
This could be an issue.
Also if you failed a previous install and this problem switch is on the same node a previous inclusion you could have a currupted network.
Neither…this is the third of three switches so far in my new network along with a thermostat.
Would you agree that the switch exhibiting the same behavior even with the Vera unit off would indicated the problem is solely with the switch?
Nope. I have seen currupted networks do this on their own. Rarely. though.
It is possible that the switch is defective.
If you place that switch in a different location say were you have another Jasco Switch and the problem returns even after you have un-paired the switch then I would say it is defective. Powerquality issues can be a problem also. What type of Lamp is it powering?
I had some experience with JASCO technical support in the past. They were easy to reach and helpful.
I sent them an email just in case this is a known issue.
Worst case…I’ll replace the switch.
Like I said, all the others are working fine so hopefully this will be taken care of either way…
JASCO will probably replace it pursuant to their warranty if you have a receipt
Now I’m really confused…its working fine since last night!!!
