I had input a couple parameters I’d found in order to make the switch turn the light on and of instantly (instead of ramping up and down) when using the switch manually…and it worked, but turns out that I lost the ability to dim with the manual switch with those parameters. It still dims (and ramps) when activated over Zwave. So I removed those parameters, but nothing has changed with the operation of the switch. I go back into Device Options, and the parameters are indeed gone, but it didn’t return the switch to it’s default behavior. Can anyone help me figure this one out, I haven’t done too much yet in the way of advanced settings on these things. Thanks!
You should exclude your switch from your z-wave network to reset the switch to its default settings. Then include the switch again.
Just removing the parameters from vera will not set them back as they were. You should change the value of the parameter back to what it was (if you know) otherwise you are back to the previous suggestion of exclude/include.
Thank you! I was able to find the default values for the two parameters that I had added and removed, and added them back with those default values and now it’s back to normal. Very much appreciated!
