GE/Jasco Dimmer and LED Experience

I wanted to post my experiences with GE/Jasco dimmers and LED lamps.

Here is my setup:
45639/ZW3003 Dimmer (No Auxiliary switches)
Date Code: 1337
Version 6,3,40,3,29
The switch is configured as follows: 7-50, 8-3, 9-50, 10-1

I’m using a VeraEdge Controller running UI7 and the newest firmware.

I set up an automatic scene to ramp from off to 100% with a 5% ramp every 2 seconds. It looks like it skipped a few steps on the way up.

The dimmer controls two Cree LED Bulbs (9.5 Watt, 2700K, 800 Lumens).

I don’t have any shunts, resistors or other loads in the circuit.

The jump from off to 5% is a bit sharper than I like but the rest of the dimming is smooth. There is no flickering at any level.

Here is a video of my testing:

From my experience I can say that this combination seems to work satisfactorily.

I have other combinations in my house with the same dimmer and various combinations of bulbs. The Cree bulbs seem to dim smoothly even when only one 9.5 watt bulb is in the circuit. I have had problems with the 4.5W Phillips bulbs. Even with five of them on a dimmer they still flicker and don’t properly dim.

Are you sure you have 45639s?? The 45639 should be ZW3101… the ZW3003 is the 45612 dimmer. The date code and firmware is about right for the ZW3003 (I have ZW3003s date code 1345 with the same version… and bad 3.29 firmware)

They are definitely 45639 and ZW3003. I still have one in the unopened packaging.

These are the Lowe’s Iris switches if that means anything. They don’t have the neutral wire either.
