It seems that GE dimmer switches revert to the last set level when turned on. The Leviton equivalent has a setting that allows the initial turn on level to be configured by the user to an arbitrary value (as well as the last setpoint). Since the GE doesn’t have such a setting in the switch, is there a way to emulate that functionality with the Vera? My thought is no based on my recent experience finding out that GE switches don’t send unsolicited notifications when they are turned on, so there’d be no way to instantaneously set the level on switch turn-on. But… maybe I’m wrong.
Search one of my posts regarding flickering led fix. im using the same switches and the code made adjustments to the light level whenever the switch was pushed. There are a few different ways to do it but this code was instant. sorry I can’t post a link, but hopefully you can edit that example and set a minimum just like I set a max.
And right, YMMV, (presumably) depending on whether the GEs are a direct hop from Vera or not (and only from primary switches, not the aux ones in a 3-way).
