While I’m purchasing Vera for the Z-wave control capabilities, I’m happy to see the impending support for the GC-100 and IR device control with an iPhone interface.
The funny thing is that as a Mac/iPhone user, I got very interested in pre-release discussions about Airremote for iPhone (http://airremote.com) and even purchased a GC-100 in advance of the application’s promised release at the launch of the iPhone App store. Unfortunately…I ended up with a GC-100 in a drawer and the App is still vaporware (now stated on the website to launch before September, ha ha).
So it looks as though you might beat the Airremote folks out of the starting gate for iPhone-based device control. Now if we could have the Airremote interface (supposedly nice) and a real functioning Vera app, that would be heaven.
