Foscam no STATE or ConfiguredMD variable

just got my first foscam camera and managed to get it onto vera 2 by manually adding a device with
D_DigitalSecurityCamera2.xml
I_FoscamHD.xml
unit settings - secure:NO

I just dont get the state or configuredMD options which suggests its not picking up te fact that the camera is a motion detector - I ave selected this option in the cam UI

anyone got any ideas?

If using UI7, go to the camera, then left click on settings.
Scroll down to Advanced Settings and left click on it.
Scroll up to Variables and left click on it.
Change value in “State” to be 2. Left click to the right of the text box you just changed.
Restart Vera. Done.

Oh… if it’s a pan and tilt, you can invert those settings too… they are just above “State”.

Now if only somebody could tell me how to get these cameras to record for a minute when tripped and save it on Vera!!! Anyone???

ok - so im on UI5 but I dont even get that variable option.

I just upgraded to UI7 and my two Foscam FI8910W camera’s associated motion sensor devices have stopped detecting motion. The “State” value is set at “2”… so I’m not really too sure what the problem is. Does anyone have any suggestions??
