Hi Chris –

That was my experience also. The motion sensor does not install for the FI9821s. I have tried various alternatives with no luck.

Hello !

I can see in apps.mios a newest version (2013-05-20 05:35:49) for vistacam plugin.

it is for foscam too. Plugin for the VistaCam PT, VistaCam HD and Foscam (non-HD + HD) cameras

I have installed my 4th foscam camera but the motion sensor and presets do not works and I can not record pictures as well.

is this plugin a best option to do the things works ?

or foscam plugin will be updated to correct this problems ?

Vera3 : current firmware. F19821W with latest firmware.

I think I have followed the advice here but cannot even get the snapshot working for my F19821.

I can use the url http://192.168.0.100:88/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture&usr=admin&pwd=xxx from a browser to get the snapshot and url http://192.168.0.100:88/cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=admin&pwd=xxx to get the stream.

In my Vera device I have : Device Type : urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:DigitalSecurityCamera:1

                              IP                   : 192.168.0.100:88
                              Device File      : D_DigitalSecurityCamera1.xml
                              Impl file          : I_Foscam98HD.xml
                              Direct Stream : /cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=admin&pwd=xxx
                              Url                  : /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture&usr=admin&pwd=xxx
                              User               :
                             Password        :

I have pretty much tried all the variations of the user / password / direct stream / url values.
The camera has been set to low resolution for the snapshot.

Any ideas?

Did you manage to get the pan / tilt to work?? Or the motion sensor - I am thinking of buying a 9821 but would rather get the 8910e with power over Ethernet and have more functionality??

Pan , tilt e motion sensor works perfectly !
I am using wifi mode in mine.

Are you sure you have a F19821 as snapshot.cgi doesn’t work with the F19821 when used from a browser?

I have just tried FoscamPTZ implementation file but no difference. I have had a look at the implementation file and it doesn’t appear to implement the actions for getting the stream and still image so changing the I_ file probably has no effect until the camera is accessible. It would be interesting to see the image capture actions but I have no idea where I can find them.

Yes, I have entered the Mac address. I did find for my older F18918 Foscam that the Mac address was necessary so I have been doing that.

mac adress is neccesary for storing picture/video on micasaverde servers.
i changed the device file to D_DigitalSecurityCamera2.xml and this seems to work too. also changed picture quality to high and still working.
can’t get the motion-sensor to work and pan/tilt also not working.
anyone get this to work on FI9818w ? i used the I_Foscam98HD.xml , this gives me the 8 preset numbers in deviceview but no ptz nor preset work.

@twostep make sure you have set the sub-stream to avi. see my former post.

Yes, I have run the camera avi command and get a result status of 0.

When I use the snapshot Url setting : /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture&usr=admin&pwd=xxx I get the piece of film icon where the still image should display. If I use the earlier models snapshot.cgi I get the ‘Invalid Url’ message displayed. I assume from this that url I am using for the 9821 is correct.

@Da_JoJo can you post the video settings you have on your 9821 or have you found that they all work with your setup?

needs admin account and you have to set parameter to “on” status. 98 series foscam have different commands which needs to change in motionsensor implementation file.

I have a Foscam 8910W, all set up working fine. When I am on my home wifi i can see a live video stream on my Vera UI5 foscam device (when i click on view on the device). When I try the same over the internet when i am out of the house i only get a snapshot or static picture. I have to close that child window, click on view again and i get the next snapshot, but no live video stream. Is that normal ?

yes. you need to fill in the external ip in camera settings to see video cq sequenced pictures

read the manual also before you ruin it. do not use iptool and it needs to be on cable.
