Ok, thanks for the help… I think I am almost there…
I downloaded the Panasonic file. I edited the file with the commands after I validated that they work posing them via ie… now the only issue I have is getting the file into vera… I went to the files page and did an up load, but it named the file with the full file path of my PC including the % crap… I am not sure how to get rid of that one and upload one that would not have the path stuff in the name… Any thoughts?
Are you using the upload box/button and then choosing the file on your harddrive? Because it was fairly straight forward for me (this is under the Plug-iIn Icon on the left (MIOS Developers) and then the Luup Files tab).
So the cameras do display the needed jpg image? If so I’ll wait to see if you have success with the plug-in for pan/tilt before buying some. Signs are good though.
Deal extreme has a couple different knock-offs of the Foscam, one is WiFi but White which is nice and the other is Ethernet and a bit cheaper still. Great work.
Attached is a screen shot of where I did it, you can see to the left the one I up loaded… It has all the path info on it. All I did was browse and select the file off my desk top and that is what I got… I just don’t know how to get it not to use the path in the name…
We appreciate the great response towards Foscam cameras and would like to encourage development and integration of our camera. Thus, we are posting here the SDK so that you may all use it to help make Foscam more compatible with Vera and get the pan tilt function to work.
Hi All, have the camera working in vera now.sort of. Working perfect when connected with cable also pan and tilt, but when going wireless and removing power to position the camera to it’s working position it will not hook up wireless again.
Got this message on device status: UPnP Failed: Errors in Chat with UPnP Device, if this can be to any help
I’m not a network guru, so i need some help here. A little affraid of changing parameters in vera. ???
Thank’s 8)

Got the wireless to work now after i found out that the camera in wifi mode has a different ip adress and mac number than in wired mode. Anybody experinced short wifi range? I have mine about 10 meters from the router with one wall inbetween and the camera can not find the wifi
Both ip and mac change when going from cable to wifi in my setup. So to use it wifi in vera i need to setup using the wifi ip and mac, and it works perfect, also with pan and tilt.
I bought 2 of these cams, one indoor and one of the outdoor models. They are AWFUL! The indoor cam never created or showed an IP address on my network, even after multiple restarts and resets. It seems to be completely DOA right out of the box and I can not get customer support to help (after 3 calls now). The outdoor one popped right up and worked great…until I set it up to be wireless (following the instructions on their website), then it just diapered from my network. Again, a bunch of resets and restarts and nothing.
Now I’ve asked Foscam for a RA# 3 times and they refuse to give me one. These cams are less than a week old now and as far as I can tell, they’re paper weights.
Are you completely sure it’s a real foscam. Many copies on the market. When setting up wireless, be sure to pull out the lan cable just as the cam is restarting(before the “click”).
Also notice when in wireless mode the ip adress change. I have just been in contact with Foscam support today regarding mail service setup and got super service, fast answer and problem solved. Try to upgrade to latest firmware. I got better wifi after that.
