Any luck with this camera? I am thinking about buying one …
I have bought one, but it’s not been delivered yet. Once it has and I do get it working I’ll post on here. Should be delivered within the next 7 days
I got mine on Saturday. Setting up was easy, and I activated the DDNS in the camera setting. But so far no luck getting it into Vera.
When I test the URL in a web browser I get a picture,
cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=user&pwd=password
but no picture yet in Vera. I have tried the settings for a FI9805W and FI9821W where I replaced the user and passwords and IP. That has not worked. Something is still not quite right
I just bought a VeraEdge.
I have been looking into getting IP Cameras.
From what I have seen Foscam brand ones seem to work very well especially with Vera.
I was also looking at the Foscam C1.
Were you eventually able to get it to work with your Vera?
Also…When I get the cameras…should I use the Foscam App, or get “Blue Iris”, or go only through the Vera apps, to manage cameras?
Thanks.
I have recently purchased a Foscam C1 camera and having difficulty in viewing it in my Vera Lite (UI5). I have other older Foscam cameras which all work fine with Vera. Does anyone have the settings for this camera (or Fosbaby) to use in Vera? It it is a case of trial and error, which settings should I be altering with the device parameters. In the advanced settings there is no plug in. Do I need one?
I have a C1, and could not get it to work with UI5. I did give Mark from MCV access to my cameras as he is developing the Foscam plugin, and I mentioned the C1 not working to him, and he can access my camera for testing purposes. From what I understand he will look into it at some point, but its not a high priority. So I would hope that at some point it’ll be working, but at the moment as far as I am aware it isn’t.
I bought a C1 recently too and have not been able to get it to work within my Vera 3. Liking the camera so far, but need to figure out a way to get it to work with Vera. The only other camera I have is a fi9821w v2 and it works good, minus the ability to use the motion capabilities of the camera within vera.
Got the C1 working in my Vera 3 running UI7 (firmware 1.7.599). Noticed there was a brand new Firmware update for the C1 camera. Performed the update, and now my settings on the C1 are as follows:
System Firmware Version: 1.9.1.12
Application Firmware Version: 2.52.2.5
Plug-In Version: 3.3.0.5
Then, retrying to add the camera using the same URL’s as my Fi9821W V2 camera, it works! I don’t have any option for motion detection yet, but at least the picture is now coming up and streaming.
I was able to add it as a generic ip camera, and as a Bosch Fixed Box camera. I haven’t tried anything else, and am not sure what settings or how one would go about trying to manipulate it to get the motion detection to work with vera.
For the URL in the Varibles tab, I used: /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=&pwd=
For Direct Streaming URL: /cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=&pwd=
Has anyone running UI5 been able to get this going with the new firmware? I’m thinking about getting one as I’m going to be away from home for a few days.
Thx
I bought a C1 today, updated the firmware, and installed it using the generic camera setting and the /cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=&pwd= url. Works fine. One oddity - it did NOT show a picture going through the setup process (the screen after you put in the IP and user and pass and all that, and then the next screen is supposed to show the camera feed to see if it works. That screen did NOT work. But I hit accept anyway and it was working everywhere else)
In UI5 does not work, new device does not show up.
how it works with night vision? are objects recognizable or blurry?
this camera looks like real deal for that kind of money…
