Go to your local Lowes and buy a battery for that door/window sensor and you’re down $8 or $9. And, no, they don’t last any longer than any other battery. The guy who designs the sensors uses these weird, expensive batteries because he hates us.
I have plenty of these Fortrezz sensors, so I had to find the batteries that work with them. After few experiments, here’s the result.
These are great and work with Fortrezz perfectly ($3.5 per battery):
DO NOT buy these, they are 1000 mAh, which won’t work with Fortrezz:

So, basically, pretty much any 1/2 AA size Lithium batteries that are 3.6V and 1200 mAh will work.
