Fortrezz sensor showing at Motion Sensor

Thanks, I guess I don’t get why it wont work down there, yet every other device does perfectly. I’ll try and re-add it if a heal doesnt work

I suspect it will eventually configure in its new location, but if it doesn’t you can push its button and then “configure now”.

I can’t understand why you’d want a more frequent wakeup interval. It senses all the time and will send alerts instantly. Are you using it in some other way?

It usually takes hours for the temperature reading from FortrezZ to appear in Vera’s dashboard the first time. So, as CMRancho said, if it successfully reconfigures in the new location, it will eventually report the temperature, but may take long time.

And to clarify - wakeup interval only matters for how often the temperature reading is reported/updated and how soon Vera can reconfigure settings into the unit.

It does not matter for any alarms (water flood or freeze in this case), as those happen immediately.

I realize it will report low temp and water immediately, but my main goal is protection AND frequent temp monitoring. I’d like to see the temp more often than just updated every 12 hours, etc

This wont work for me, I get “delivery failed” all the time.

WWA-01 can be set to report temp often, it will finish its batteries though.

What we need is plug-in module with thermometer - no batteries, update every minute, etc.

BTW, where do you guys get those “1/2AA” batteries for Fortrezz?

They sure couldn’t find any more popular battery here… arrgh

That’s exactly what myhomeserver said

That would be nice, indeed!

RadioShack has it for $20, which is quite expensive. I was able to find one on Amazon for $9:

Manual says to replace battery after every alarm… Are they kidding?

I found this page Ezlo – Property Empowered, but it’s no help for me at the great white north

Replacing the battery at each alarm is the safest method. If your water tank leaks I’d pay $3 for another battery to ensure I am protected next time. Fortrezz sells the 3.6v 1/2AA batteries for $3-4 each, or you can go to a site like batteriesandbutter.com and get these for $3 each. They have killer battery prices.

I’ll be hacking mine for A/C power soon and will tell everyone how to do it once I complete this…

As of now, I’m waking mine up every 11,000 seconds and it’s reporting temp like a champion. Now If MCV can simply make this device know it’s a temp device, I can’t run scenes on this device since it only thinks it’s a motion detector :frowning:
