Can someone explain the firmware release notes term “blocker”.

given the context of the issues that fall under these ones, I always understood it to mean that the particular customer who reported was blocked from getting any further with the current task whilst this bug was present
I refer to “blocker” as being defined as a bug that is blocking further testing in an area, or “release blocker” must be fixed prior to release.
This may be used describe the impact on testing project/progress.
