firmware: 1.0.989

I have this firmware on my vera 2, is this the newest version? i cant get my schlage lock to pair with it.
would anyone recommending to upgrade to UI3 ???

I have 1.1.228 running, and it paired with the Schlage deadbolt.

No problems so far.

Had to bring Vera within 2 feet of the lock to pair however.

I have a new Vera 2 with 1.0989 and I can confirm the Schlage lock works well. The only odd thing that occured was the light on the lock blinked red after pairing which would normally indicate unsuccessful pairing but it worked perfectly.

I have 1.0979 and pairing worked fine BUT as Caffreyboy said you MUST have Vera a few feet away from the lock and repair network after you return Vera to its normal location. Follow the instruction here:

Will upgrading from 979 to 989 cause the locks to be lost from the network? I’ve heard some talk that the schlages don’t like vera upgrades? I don’t see why any nodes should be lost since I imagine the upgrade should do nothing to the dongle itself.
In preparation for the sq connect app, I will be upgrading to 989, but I’ve been very anal about my node numbers… I don’t like lost node numbers…

None of my upgrades have affected my lock at all. I’m at 985 for SQ Remote testing and that is fine. I don’t know about any 989 issues with the lock, or even whether it’s compatible with SQ Remote.

oh my goodness!! i have been messing with this schlage lock and trying to get it to pair with vera2. I finally found the problem, This one is going to have to go into schlages books… and to all of you who are going to change your batteries in the schalge lock. When i got the new lock i didnt use the batteries that came in the package, i bought the energizer lithium ion batteries that last much longer. DO NOT USE THESE!!! when i had those batteries in the lock worked perfectly, except the lock wouldnt lock the deadbolt when i pushed the schlage button, and it would not pair with vera. I tried everything restored the lock, updated firmware etc etc. The problem is in the batteries. for some reason the lithium ion batteries wont let the lock pair, the weirdest thing!!!
My lock now works perfectly and my advice to anyone installing the schlage lock,… dont use lithium batteries…
