findvera problems

Had some hardware problems over the weekend with my FIOS router. While troubleshooting, somehow Vera and findvera seem to have lost sync with each other. Network tests on my vera (verstion 2) unit now show its working fine. When I login to findvera all looks well. However when I click on ‘control’ it gives a “communications error”. I submitted a support ticket. Dug around on the forums a bit. When you click on help in findvera it refers you to a page that seems to reference an older UI and not the one in vera2 (mios).

In network, troubleshoot network, all looks good.

Hi,

I’ve replied to your email and also included a screenshoot of what’s wrong in your configuration.

thanks again!

Its working perfect now.

This sounds like the problem I’m having with Findvera giving me a communications error.

Can you give us a clue about what was wrong with the specific configuration in this case? It may apply for me also.

Thanks.

Not sure of exact problem…
network test showed okay on pings, but it did show tunnel problems.

the vera box did not show the normal page for changing findvera password almost
like it didn’t know I had a findvera account.

mcvovidiu fixed the problem and all seems well now.

Les…
Can you send me the tech support details…?? You issue sounds exactly like mine…?? I can’t control, etc. from findvera.com

There isn’t much more I can tell you. They did all the work and fixed it.

My guess is that my vera box lost the fact that it was registered with findvera.

At first they told me that I needed to register, but I could not because it would not take the name I had previously registered with, and when I tried to register with a new name I got an error as well.

After a few more emails, they told me to try it again and it worked (using my original name/password).
