Fibaro universal sensor in Vera

I have a Fibaro universal sensor that I’m wanting to integrate with my Texecom alarm panel - but not in the traditional sense. The alarm panel has logic outputs that I can program to go high or low based on a multitude of conditions of the alarm panel. One of the outputs from the alarm panel will be the armed status of the alarm, which I’m wanting to serve as an occupancy state for Vera.

I’ve paired up the Fibaro sensor with Vera, and three Motion Sensors are configured. Fine. However, i really don’t want them to be considered as Motion Sensors - I would like them to be binary sensors (that is, no On/Off or Arm/Disarmed buttons), but purely the high/low or on/off state.

Is there any way to do this with Vera? The concept of having “control” buttons for the binary input is meaningless in my context.

Perhaps Vera has a class of device which is just a status?

Many thanks

Ian

This has been asked probably three times this past week. A search would find the answer you are looking for. To answer you question, there is no way of changing the type of the device without causing other issues. The sensors be it motion or some kind of security type sensor will show up as a motion type sensor in vera where you have both arm and bypass buttons and a trigger state (if the contact is open or closed).
