Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor won't detect motion

Situation:
Me zwave / vera Noob this is my first setup
Vera Edge running the latest version: 1.7.1089
Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor with default settings

Connected it with the Vera and it detects 3 devices
Universal Sensor
Universal binary input 1
Universal binary input 2

Connect blue wire with the yellow wire and connected blue with green but the GUI doesn’t show it detected motion.

Parameters / variables are default
1 0
2 0
3 1 (also tried 0, 1 byte hex (0 = INPUT Normal Open))
4 1
5 255
6 255
7 255
8 255
9 0
13 0
14 0 (also tried 1, 1 byte hex (Scene activation of functionality))

what i’m I doing wrong? I already exclude and include it after a factory reset of the sensor.

I have the same problem you are, but it looks more like a general problem with Vera not working well with the sensors since a couple updates.

Jup solved it by downgrading

To downgrade your unit please follow these instructions :

  • connect to Vera?s interface
  • then go to Settings and select Firmware
  • and copy paste the URL below in the firmware field and hit ?download?.
    http://builder1204.mios.c…-1.7.961-en-mios.squashfs
  • when prompted select to downgrade your unit with ?keep settings.?
  • the downgrade can take up to 15-20 minutes and you shouldn?t unplug Vera in that time
Note: The downgrade should be done from the same location as the Vera uni

Your link didn’t paste here properly, but if I am not mistaken - it won’t help me.
I also have the 3in1 Fibaro sensors and previous firmware versions don’t support it properly.

my bad the correct link is
http://builder1204.mios.com/mt7620a_betafirmware/mt7620a_Luup_ui7-1.7.961-en-mios.squashfs

With this version my european fibaro universal sensor detect motion

Not repaired on 7.0.7 ??? ??? :‘( :’(

Not for me.

EDIT: But then, not surprising - it’s not in the change log.

Any news on a fix as i didn’t want to downgrade but will have to.

Hi,
I have just downgraded with the link you supplied and relearned the device but still no joy.
Do you add it as a generic zwave device or something else?

Hi,

have the same issue.

@alansmithee: Did you make a ticket?
Hope they solve this problem soon, 2 month now… no motion detection. :frowning:

I did and they promised it would be fixed in the October release.
take a look at this thread, apparently MCV is fixing the issue individually per submitted ticket
