Fibaro Multi Sensor

I just purchased and installed on my UI7 1.7.541 Veralite system a Fibaro Motion Sensor. It is the newest model and will monitor motion, temperature, humidity, light level and vibrations. Since it is not specifically listed on the Dashboard list of devices I used the generic motion sensor option to pair it. However it seems that most of the features are not showing or available.

Is there a better option for pairing the device?

I may be mistaken, but I recently bought one of these myself, and paired it with my Vera3 (latest UI7) right away. I wrote down the Fibaro (fish eye) model number, and then used F to find the model in the Vera listing of sensor devices. I’m not sure why I could not find it just scanning down the “known” devices, but F worked for me.

At any rate, I found the device (I think), I used it to pair my Fibaro, and it works fine. It created three devices, no “vibration sensor”, so if we have an earthquake (I live in So. California) I’ll have to trust my butt as the most reliable sensor…

I see motion, temperature and light levels. Do not see or have access to humidity (important) of vibrations (not important).

This device does not measure humidity.

Vibration can also be used to tell if the device has been tampered with/moved, especially if you are using these as part of your house security.

I have two of these devices and it were one of the most easy devices to install. But I had to set the reporting parameters for Light and Temperature.

I have had to set them to the following values, they might drain the battery a little quicker than default settings;
Parameter - Value
42 - 300 ILLUMINATION REPORTS INTERVAL [2 byte]
62 - 300 INTERVAL OF TEMPERATURE MEASURING [2 byte]
64 - 300 TEMPERATURE REPORTS INTERVAL [2 byte]

I do not know how to get vera to get the tamper alarm and I can see that one does report the battery status and the other doesn’t ?!?

Well that would explain that omission. I could swear it sensed humidity. If I had realized I would have gone with the Aeon…

I am still unsure how to enter the above in UI7?

Is it here (in the “New Service” tab)?

[b]New service/variable/value

The Fibaro does not report humidity and there is no support in the UI5 firmware at least (1.5.672) for the vibration sensor … not that earthquakes have been a significant problem in South Florida of late  And the Fibaro doesn’t have a “sink hole sensor” that might actually prove useful in parts of Central Florida :o

No it is not in de new service tab  . You need to do it in ‘Device Options’ and than ‘add configuration settings’ , here you can enter the parameter and value. Don’t forget to save. Now you need to go to Advanced and ‘Configure Node Right Now’ and be patient. The device needs to wake up, manual says its possible with the B button, but I had no luck with that. So after an hour or two it will be configured :S . You can check if in device options the parameter setting matches the current setting.
