Hi

I wanted to create a dedicated thread for the battery drain issue I’m seeing to understand how widespread it is.

I installed 4 x Gen5 FGMS-001-ZW5 at the beginning of May and it looks like the battery has drained completely after 2 months?

The dashboard battery levels for those sensors provided no indication of the rate of reduction - leaving them just to fail to connect one day. And before anyone asks they are not located in a high footfall area !

Are many others seeing this ? I’m close to sending them back for a refund if they only last 2 months !!

If people are not seeing issues, would you be able to confirm and share the settings you have ?

To have 3 out of 4 run out of juice after 2 months is a huge concern.

I have two such sensors. One is nearly two years old. It had to replace the battery a few months ago for the first time. So no issue related to batteries. Just checked my Vera Edge settings for the oldest device:
Wakeup interval =1800
Variable 1 set to 30 / 1 byte dec
Variable 20 set to 100 / 1 byte dec
Variable 24 set to 1 / 1 byte dec
Variable 40 set to 80 / 2 byte dec

Hi: I also have 5 FGMS-001-ZW5 and yesterday one stop responding. It showed battery at 0%. I replaced the battery and it still shows 0% and no response from the unit.
My settings are the same as bruine01 except Variable 1 is set to 50/1 byte dec

All other units are working fine. The oldest unit has the same battery in it for a year and a half.
