Fibaro HC2 as master and Veralite as Slave

Hi

I have been using Vera lite for a while now and i am frustrated by the painfully slow operation by time. I am therefore thinking of buying a Fibaro HC2 and running this as a master and using the Vera as a slave for all the plugin/extras that are not possible in HC2.

I know people have been discussing this before but unable to find a good answer wether or not this is achievable?

Is it possible to use one as master and other as slave? Is it possible to configure all devices with both controllers?

There was a recent post on the forum which lead to fibaro forum where this was being discussed. It was an interesting read and some aggression to some members for suggesting this.

For what it is :o ! What can you do with HC2 that you can’t in VERA?

Well it is faster. GPS functionality. 10 times better UI . Built in media functionality is coming.

the only thing that the HC2 “can do better” is the hardware,
since the HC2 is a real Computer, where the Vera is just a Supercharged Router with a terrible operating system.

yes the UI may sucks … but who cares ? how many times do you actually see it ?
i see it only if i add/change somethings … since its supposed to “automate” things :wink:

its the same with the plastic engine covers you have on new Cars, they look shiny makes to engine looks sophisticated and even bigger …
but in the end … they just there for the Showroom as later the function does change to: collecting dust, making noise and falling off sooner or later :wink:
