I have a Fibaro FGS221 2x1,5kW device that won’t respond anymore. I’ve checked that it’s powered up, and i tried to disconnect/reboot it.
It will not either exclude… Can it be broken?
That doesn’t sound too good. By disconnect/reboot do you mean that you cycled the power to the module? That’s always worth trying. Before condemning the FGS you could try the reset option - press and hold the little button for three seconds with the power on. If that doesn’t bring it back to life then I think it has expired.
Thanks
By that I mean that turned the power off and on again, I tried to reset it but i didn’t get any better. When I touch it, it feels kind of cold compared with the others relay… So i got a bad feeling about it. In that case it didn’t last long, 10 months and hardly not been used.
wrong connection on the device itself or overloading it might also cause this. did you contact fibaro if they may have an answer ?
No but I will send them an email today. The connection is correct and it’s been never touched since it’s was wired the first time. It’s been used to control light, around 100W so overload is not an issue. And since i am an electrician I’ve double checked it ![]()
got ya ![]()
what firmware is on the fibaro ? i remember first firmware has issues like this. if it doesnt reset to fabric default then its definatly dead.
If the firmware/version is under ‘settings’ on the parent device it do not say anything…
no its on the fibaro device itself
Okay I have to look into that later since the stuff is lockated at my cabin. Do you think there is any chance of getting a new one free from charge?
if it has a fabrication fault you should get a new one. you have to contact your supplier for that at first to send it RMA.
Now i have returned the FGS221 to the the reseller as a warranty procedure. Since I can exclude the device, should I just delete the device icons? Or is there any other way to remove them?
just delete the main device itself and the tile will be removed as well
