Hi,

I have a Fibaro-FGK-101 attached to detect when the garage door is open.

Is it possible to get Vera3 to sense the door is open when the sensor is near the magnet? I went searching for what all the variables mean but couldn’t find anything.

My reason is so i do not have to try to water proof the electronic part of the Fibaro-FGK-101 since normal functionality would mean I would have to install it on the ground.

I don’t think you can change the sense of the internal magnetic sensor. You can change it for an external sensor, though. Configuration parameter 3 can be set to 0 for normally-closed contacts or 1 for normally-open ones.

I use a magnetic sensor like this on my garage door. It operates reliably with quite a large gap between the sensor and magnet so is easy to install.
