Feature Request - Link Scenes to Camera view

It would be nice to be able to execute a scene while viewing a camera. Useful example would be turning on my living room lights while viewing my living room camera instead of leaving the camera view, going to my scenes page, executing the scene, exiting the scene page, going back to cameras and then selecting my living room camera again.

This is the feature I miss the most from my old ios automation app.

Otherwise, HomeWave is awesome! Awesome work intveltr.

Have a look at the options available in the Settings tab of the Camera. “Turn on the lights:”

Can you be more specific? I don’t see a Settings tab for the camera. If I’m in the app, go to my camera screen (with all my cams), then click the wrench, then click on a camera I can click on several things (wrench, grid, link, x, gear, ?) but I don’t see a Settings tab on any of them.

I was referring to the device Settings tab in the Vera UI not from within Homewave. Sorry for the confusion. There are a number of control options available including turning on light when viewing.

This is a cool feature and one that I hadn’t known about before but it’s not quite ideal. There are plenty of situations where I don’t want the lights to turn on when I view the camera (during the day for example). I can also think of a few other things that would be nice to be able to control, other than lights, while viewing a camera.

Thanks for bringing this feature to my attention Brientim but I’d still definitely like to submit a formal request to be able to execute scenes from the camera view screen of HomeWave.

Not sure how easy this is to implement, intveltr, but I’d like to see the same feature too.

Implementing this is probably no more than 15 minutes of effort. This could be done as a dynamic background option for any control panel.

Implementing the screen(s) to configure the option takes considerably more, as is the case with most features. This app is 80% config screens and code, 20% actual functionality :slight_smile:

Any further thought on this @intveltr?

I notice the recent versions have a “full screen view” light control. An option to include a scene button would be very helpful in many situations, such as, for example, when viewing a garage door camera, using a scene button to toggle/activate the door control relay to open or close the garage door.
